During my master studies I had the pleasure to publish one of my papers in the Journal of Law & Islam (Zeitschrift für Recht und Islam) of the Society for Arabic and Islamic Law (Gesellschaft für Arabisches und Islamisches Recht). It was an interesting Experience to receive feedback by scholars of this field and pursue the improvement and publication of the paper.
In the Paper (ZR&I, Vol. 13/14 (2021/22), S. 27-43) I deal with the issue of interest rates in the banking sector of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I actually had the pleasure to visit Saudi Arabia in 2024 by coincidence met a Saudi lawyer, with whom I discussed some findings. I found the Saudi legal system to be a fascinating subject. Perhaps someone may find this topic, however exotic it may seem, to be equally interesting.
